Perth’s Complete Implant & Sedation Dentistry is a general dental practice limited to dental implantology, oral (dento-alveolar) surgery and IV sedation dentistry. We see patients both directly and on a referral basis from dental colleagues for a comprehensive and advanced range of procedures:
Service range includes single implants to implant supported bridges, denture stabilisations and full arch/mouth rehabilitations. Cases including aesthetic zone and atrophic jaw cases are expertly managed. A range of full arch reconstruction solutions is offered including immediate All-on-4 style reconstruction of the terminal or
highly diseased dentition or edentulous patient (as per our All-on-4 Plus protocol incorporating an immediate CAD-CAM titanium hybrid implant bridge), among other techniques. Multiple proven implant systems are used for a diverse range of applications including AstraTech, Ankylos, BioHorizons, Nobel Biocare and others.
Multiple soft and hard tissue grafting techniques and procedures are performed including atraumatic tooth removal and ridge preservation, maxillary sinus elevation, immediate implant placements, hard and soft tissue augmentation (grafting) and guided bone regeneration (GBR), free gingival and connective tissue grafting, L-PRF, correction of gingival recession and gummy smile, and peri-implantitis management.
We make use of a wide array of grafting and implant techniques with the aim of treating each case in the most time and cost effective manner while meeting the patients’ objectives.
Patients are sent back to their referring dentist, following surgical treatment, for the prosthetic phase. Where it is the request of the referring dentist, the prosthetic phases of treatment can also be completed in our rooms. We are available to provide assistance, training and treatment planning guidance for restorative dentists.
Services include repair of oro-antral fistula, correction of gingival recession, gingivectomy /crown lengthening, pre-prosthetic surgery, apicectomy, maxillary sinus elevation, tooth exposure, and pre/peri-implant bone or soft tissue augmentation.
Services include removal of impacted wisdom teeth, retained roots, dental extractions and pre-prosthetic surgery.
Services include preventive, conservative and reconstructive restorative dentistry for phobic patients.
Fully monitored and professionally administered IV sedation is used to facilitate advanced treatments including minor oral surgery, or to facilitate standard dental treatments for phobic or gagging patients.
We maintain a specially staffed and fully equipped and monitored practice for the effective and safe practice of IV sedation.

Dr Misagh Habibi is an advanced general dental practitioner with more than 16 years’ experience. He restricts his practice full time to implantology and oral (dento-alveolar and periodontal plastic) surgery and is a postgraduate trained and experienced dental sedationist and implantologist. He is also an educator and researcher in the field of implantology.
Dr Habibi has received a Masters Degree (MSc) in Oral Implantology, a Graduate Diploma in Conscious Sedation and Pain Control, and a Fellowship of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is director of the Dental Implant Education and Training Institute, Tutor and Supervisor to Master of Oral Implantology students and is a Board-endorsed sedation provider.
Dr Vivian Mascarenhas is also general dentist with additional postgraduate experience and/or postgraduate training in minor oral surgery and the provision of dentistry under sedation and general anaesthetic, including a Graduate Diploma of Conscious Sedation and Pain Control from Sydney University.
Drs Habibi and Mascarenhas are joined by a team with years of full time experience in the provision of IV sedation and the dental and oral surgical treatments of patients under IV sedation.
Dr Zonair Ikram is a GP anaesthetist who joins Drs Habibi and Mascarenhas in providing IV sedation services at the clinic, to facilitate the comfortable provision of dental and surgical procedures provided by all its operators.
We are a well-established, experienced and reputable niche practice aiming to provide outstanding services in implantology, sedation dentistry and minor oral surgery in a safe and patient-friendly environment. We take pride in our experience and skill for the management of patients with dental phobia. We work closely with our referring dentists to develop strong professional relationships and ensure optimal care of all patients.
Dr Habibi practices exclusively implantology and has experience in implant procedures numbering in the thousands. Uniquely, our clinic has also safely performed thousands of IV sedations.
All dentists at the practice hold general (non-specialist) registration and have undertaken extensive continuing education and/or professional experience opportunities, training or certification to undertake the services they provide at the practice. They are not oral and maxillofacial surgeons, oral surgeons, periodontists or other speciality providers.
To find out more about Dr Misagh Habibi’s implant institute and mentoring for implant dentistry, or to express your interest in a place in our (limited attendance) annual program, please email us or check the Dental Implant Education and Training Institute blog.
The program, supported by multiple dental implant companies, provides a broad and applicable education and basic training in dental implant prosthetics and a good broad understanding (not surgical training) of surgery. More than 50 hours of continuing professional development are offered, with comprehensive lectures on a wide range of topics relating to implant dentistry, featuring vivid case illustrations, up-to-date science, live surgical and prosthetic case demonstrations and hands-on workshops. Participants receive additional mentoring from Dr Habibi for their own patient treatments, with their level of involvement according to individual experience and expertise, as well as case complexity. Dentists experienced with implant prosthetics are also able to be involved in a Nobel Biocare Treatment Model Module for the All-on-4 reconstruction method in collaboration with Dr Habibi and his lab associates, enabling them to potentially offer aspects of this procedure to their patients.
2016 UPDATE: The DIETI program has been paused for 2016. We are currently working on expanding the program in exciting directions. Watch this space!
